ZAMBIA
- Livingstone - Victoria Falls to South Luangwa River NP
Zambia (pics from left to right -
top to bottom)- the ferry across the river
at Kusangula from Botswana into Zambia and on to Victoria Falls, Livingstone;
our camp at the Waterfront; a sunset view from our camp area of the
Zambesi River; the chopper flight over the famous Victoria Falls and
along the gorge below the falls .

Zambia (pics from left to right - top
to bottom)- the road from Livinstone to the South Luangwa National
Park was busy with people,
harvesting the maize crop and carting it, if you were lucky, in a bullock
dray back to the huts; selling bags of charcoal was big business;
our camp at 'the
Bridge' ; Zambia's version of a shopping centre!

Zambia (pics from left to right - top to
bottom)- the wildlife in the South Luangwa National Park, while not
as prolific as some of the
other parks we've been in, was good nonetheless, with a few different
animals, such as the puku antelope. The flood plains
made for some great game viewing and there were lots and lots of
hippos.
Animals - elephant; puku/zebra/impala; giraffe; hippo; female kudu;
young male lion and lioness; puku sitting; group waterbuck;
male waterbuck sitting.
The Luangwa River is the centre piece of the park and its life blood.
Our camp site right on the river bank.

\  Zambia
(pics from left to right - top to bottom) - a very successful cottage
industry making very good cloth hand painted items,
was well worth
the visit and a few purchases! Shopping local style!!
