Botswana - Okavango Delta - Maun to Chobe
River National Park: pics from left to right (top to bottom)
The track was sandy and the water coming down the delta rising,
we wouldn't have made is across this small creek in another
week or so; camping areas in the delta are NOT FENCED, making
for exciting camping; the track to Chobe;
the mighty waters of the Chobe River and a magnificent sunset; there are
lots of vehicle tracks right beside the river;
elephants abound in Chobe and we spent well over an hour watching large
groups of elephants cross the a channel of the river
to an island - it was fantastic watching the little ones, with their snorkels
up, being helped along by Mum, Aunty or sister;
the birdlife was also great - fish eagle, bee eaters
, hornbill; the river is also full of crocodiles; Puku, a water loving
anetlope; there were also big groups of buffalo .
