Introduction
Over the last 20 years and after eight trips (and 32 weeks) to Africa
where we picked up a vehicle and drove around a few countries including
South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, as well as touring and
camping in Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Zaire (now the Democratic
Republic of Congo) and Egypt, we’ve decided to spend over eight
months and drive from Cape Town to London (in 2007).
In 2008 we plan to head across southern Europe to Turkey and then strike
north through Russia to North Cape, the most northerly point of Europe.
After that we may head east across Russia to Hong Kong via Mongolia,
or head south through Norway to Spain and across to Morocco and the
west coast of Africa. Who knows?

Our 2007 plans include spending close to two months travelling through
South Africa (we love the place) and Lesotho before we head north from
Cape Agulhas, the southern most point of Africa.
We then plan to travel through Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique,
Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt and Libya to Tunisia
where we’ll reach Ras ben Sakka, the northern most point of Africa.
From Tunis a ferry will take us across the Mediterranean Sea to Marseille
in France. A short drive later we’ll be in the UK after traveling
somewhere between 35,000 and 40,000km.
